Principles of Vacuum Gassing Installation The loading system transports a controlled number of products to each of the vacuum chambers.
Depending on the desired capacity, Terlet applies two sizes of vacuum chamber, with a diameter of 1250 mm or 1700 mm respectively and with a vertically opening and closing chamber. This design offers the best guarantees for preventing undesired air turbulence and minimizing the use of inert gas.
The floor of a vacuum chamber consists of a rotating tray on which a non-rotating product guide in the form of a concentric spiral is mounted. During loading, the floor tray rotates so that the cans entirely fill the spiral. After programmed vacuuming and gassing of the products, the floor rotates in the opposite direction and so automatically places the cans on the conveyor belt, which takes them directly to the sealing machine. Here the lids are hermetically sealed.
